Wind Energy Projects
As of mid-2025, Iowa’s installed wind capacity is approximately 12,500 MW. With nearly 1,500 MW of installed wind capacity under its belt, RPMA has developed nearly 12% of all of Iowa’s installed wind capacity.

About RPMA
RPMA was formed in July 2000 to develop its first wind energy project, Top of Iowa Wind Farm, near Joice, Iowa (north of Clear Lake-Mason City, IA). Since inception RPMA has grown from just developing and selling wind farms to constructing, owning and operating wind farms, including its Elk, Hawkeye and Rippey wind farms. In 2020, RPMA sold all three operating wind farms to refocus its efforts and resources back on developing new wind energy projects. Today, RPMA has developed and installed its 56 MW Prescott Wind Farm and is currently in early development of its Murray Wind Farm.
The RPMA team consists of twelve full-time seasoned development, finance, construction and operations professionals and is headquartered in Winterset, Madison County, Iowa with a new operations office located near Prescott, Adams County, Iowa.
